Ingredients

  • 2 cups black tea brewed and chilled (use your favorite black tea, such as Earl Grey or English Breakfast)
  • 1/2 cup blackberries fresh or frozen
  • 1/4 cup fresh sage leaves loosely packed
  • 1/2 cup milk dairy or plant-based, such as almond, oat, or soy
  • 2 tbsp honey or maple syrup, adjust to taste
  • Ice cubes

Instructions

  • Brew and Chill the Tea: Brew 2 cups of black tea according to package instructions. Let cool to room temperature, then chill in the fridge for at least 30 minutes (or prepare in advance).
  • Infuse the Milk: In a small saucepan, combine 1/2 cup blackberries, 1/4 cup sage leaves, 1/2 cup milk, and 2 tbsp honey. Heat over medium-low heat for 3-5 minutes, stirring gently, until warm and fragrant (do not boil). Remove from heat and strain through a fine mesh strainer, discarding solids. Chill the infused milk in the fridge for 10 minutes.
  • Assemble the Latte: Fill two tall glasses with ice cubes. Pour 1 cup of chilled black tea into each glass. Top each with half of the chilled infused milk, stirring gently to combine.
  • Serve: Garnish with a fresh blackberry or sage leaf for an elegant touch. Serve immediately as a refreshing Blackberry Sage Iced Tea Latte.

Notes

  • Chill Thoroughly: Ensure both tea and infused milk are cold to maintain a refreshing, undiluted drink.
  • Adjust Sweetness: Taste the infused milk and add more honey if desired, but keep it balanced to highlight the sage and blackberries.
  • Strain Well: Use a fine mesh strainer to remove all solids for a smooth, silky latte.
  • Fresh Ingredients: Opt for fresh blackberries and sage for the boldest flavors in this Blackberry Sage Iced Tea Latte.
  • Make Ahead: Brew tea and infuse milk a day in advance; store in the fridge for quick assembly.
