- 2 large apples peeled and cut into ½-inch wedges
- ½ cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon apple pie spice
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ½ cup crushed graham crackers or panko breadcrumbs
- ¼ cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- Canola oil spray
Prepare the Apples: Peel and slice apples into uniform ½-inch wedges. Avoid using thick slices, as they may not crisp up properly.
Coat the Apples:
In a bowl, mix flour and apple pie spice.
Place the apple slices into a large resealable bag with the flour mixture, seal, and shake until well coated.
In another bowl, whisk eggs and vanilla extract together.
Dip each floured apple slice into the egg mixture, then coat with crushed graham crackers or panko breadcrumbs.
Air Fry the Apple Fries:
Arrange the coated apple slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Avoid overlapping for even cooking.
Lightly spray with canola oil and air fry at 325°F (163°C) for 12 minutes, flipping halfway through and spraying the other side.
These crispy Air Fryer Apple Fries are delicious on their own, but you can elevate them with a dipping sauce! Try them with:
-
Caramel sauce
-
Peanut butter dip
-
Cream cheese fruit dip
