Ingredients

  • 2 large eggs
  • cup 80ml canola or vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp black food coloring optional

Buttercream:

  • ½ cup 113g unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 cups 250g powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 –2 tbsp 15–30ml milk
  • Green food coloring

Decorations:

  • ¼ cup 30g round green sprinkles
  • 2 tbsp 15g Halloween sprinkles (e.g., skulls, bones)
  • 36 candy eyeballs
  • 18 pretzel sticks halved

Substitution: Use brownie mix for cake mix; store-bought frosting for buttercream.

Instructions
 

Prep and Mix Dough

  • I preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C), grease three mini muffin pans, and mix 1 box cake mix, 2 eggs, ⅓ cup oil, and 1 tsp black food coloring in a bowl for these Easy Cauldron Cookies.

Shape and Bake
