Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions
 

  • In a medium saucepan, whisk together sugar, cocoa powder, cornstarch, and salt.
  • Slowly add milk and cream while whisking until smooth.
  • Place the saucepan over medium heat and cook, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens and starts to bubble, about 5–7 minutes.
  • Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract.
  • Let the mixture cool slightly, then pour into popsicle molds.
  • Insert sticks and freeze for at least 6 hours or overnight until solid.
  • To release, run warm water over the outside of the molds for a few seconds.

Notes

  • For a dairy-free version, use plant-based milk and coconut cream.
  • Adjust sweetness to taste before pouring into molds.
  • Store popsicles in the freezer for up to 2 weeks for best flavor.
