- ¼ cup 60 ml low-sodium soy sauce
- 2 tbsp 25 g brown sugar
- 1 tbsp 15 ml sesame oil
- 4 cloves garlic minced
- 1 tbsp 15 g grated fresh ginger
- 4 green onions sliced (white and green parts separated)
- 1 cup 100 g shredded carrots
- 2 cups 200 g steamed broccoli florets
- 2 cups 400 g cooked jasmine rice
- 1 –2 tsp 5–10 g gochujang (adjust to taste)
- 1 tbsp 9 g sesame seeds, for garnish
- Salt and black pepper to taste
Brown Beef
I heat a skillet over medium heat, add 1 lb ground beef, and break it up, cooking for 5–7 minutes until browned. I drain excess fat for this simple recipe.
