Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb 450 g lean ground beef
  • ¼ cup 60 ml low-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp 25 g brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp 15 ml sesame oil
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp 15 g grated fresh ginger
  • 4 green onions sliced (white and green parts separated)
  • 1 cup 100 g shredded carrots
  • 2 cups 200 g steamed broccoli florets
  • 2 cups 400 g cooked jasmine rice
  • 1 –2 tsp 5–10 g gochujang (adjust to taste)
  • 1 tbsp 9 g sesame seeds, for garnish
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions
 

Brown Beef

  • I heat a skillet over medium heat, add 1 lb ground beef, and break it up, cooking for 5–7 minutes until browned. I drain excess fat for this simple recipe.

Sauté Aromatics

  • I add minced garlic, 1 tbsp grated ginger, and white parts of green onions, cooking for 1 minute until fragrant for this Korean beef bowl.

Make Sauce

  • I stir in ¼ cup soy sauce, 2 tbsp brown sugar, 1 tbsp sesame oil, and 1–2 tsp gochujang, simmering for 3–5 minutes, adjusting seasoning for this quick weeknight meal.

Add Veggies

  • I toss in 1 cup shredded carrots and 2 cups steamed broccoli, warming for 2 minutes for this easy dinner recipe.

Assemble Bowl
