Ingredients

  • 1 stick of butter melted
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 yellow cake mix
  • 1 bag of semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  • Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking pan or a smaller pan if desired.
  • Mix Wet Ingredients: In a large bowl, melt the butter. Whisk in the eggs until well combined.
  • Add Dry Ingredients: Stir in the yellow cake mix until fully incorporated. The batter will be thick.
  • Add Chocolate Chips: Mix in the bag of semi-sweet chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
  • Press Into Pan: Press the cookie dough mixture into the greased baking pan, spreading it out evenly.
  • Bake: For a 9×13 inch pan, bake for 20 minutes. For smaller pans, bake for 25-28 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Cool and Serve: Allow the bars to cool in the pan before cutting into squares. Enjoy!

Notes

  • For a thicker bar, use a smaller baking pan and adjust the baking time accordingly.
  • If desired, top with a drizzle of melted chocolate or a sprinkle of sea salt before serving.
