Ingredients
  

For the Base:

  • 1 bag 10 oz/283 g Fritos corn chips, lightly crushed

For the Caramel:

  • 1 cup 200 g granulated sugar
  • 1 cup 240 ml light corn syrup
  • 1 cup 240 g creamy peanut butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Optional Topping:

  • ½ cup 85 g semisweet chocolate chips, melted

Instructions
 

Prep Pan and Chips

  • I line a 9×13-inch baking dish with parchment paper or spray with nonstick spray. I spread 10 oz lightly crushed Fritos evenly, keeping texture for this candy bites treat.

Make Caramel

  • In a medium saucepan over medium heat, I combine 1 cup sugar and 1 cup light corn syrup, stirring constantly until the sugar dissolves and the mixture gently boils. I remove from heat to avoid burning for this easy recipe.

Add Peanut Butter

  • I quickly stir 1 cup creamy peanut butter and 1 tsp vanilla into the hot syrup until smooth, moving fast as it thickens for this no-bake candy dish.

Pour and Press

  • I pour the warm caramel over the Fritos, spreading evenly with a spatula and pressing lightly to coat for this sweet-salty treats dish.

Add Optional Chocolate

  • If desired, I melt ½ cup chocolate chips and drizzle over the top for a glossy candy bites finish.

Cool and Slice

  • I let the candy cool at room temperature for about 1 hour until set. I lift it out using parchment and slice into ~24 squares on a cutting board for this Peanut Butter Fritos Candy.

Notes

  • For added crunch, mix chopped peanuts into the caramel before pouring.
  • Store in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
