Ingredients

For the Crostini:

  • 1 baguette thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 lb beef tenderloin or sirloin, trimmed
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 garlic cloves minced

For the Parmesan Cream Sauce:

  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley optional

Instructions

Preheat the Oven:

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Arrange the baguette slices on a baking sheet, drizzle them with olive oil, and toast for 5-7 minutes until golden brown.

Prepare the Beef:

  • Season the beef tenderloin with salt and pepper.
  • In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium-high heat.
  • Add the minced garlic and sear the beef on all sides, cooking for 2-3 minutes per side, or until the desired doneness.
  • Let the beef rest for 5 minutes before slicing thinly.

Make the Parmesan Cream Sauce:

  • In a small saucepan, heat the heavy cream over medium heat.
  • Stir in the Parmesan cheese, Dijon mustard, and black pepper. Cook until thickened, about 5 minutes.

Assemble the Crostini:

  • Top each toasted crostini with a slice of beef.
  • Drizzle with the Parmesan cream sauce and garnish with fresh parsley if desired.

Serve and Enjoy:

  • Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

  • Use a meat thermometer for perfectly cooked beef every time.
  • Don’t overdress the crostini—just a drizzle of sauce will do!
  • Serve fresh. Assemble right before serving so your crostini stays crisp.
  • Swap the beef with sirloin or ribeye if tenderloin isn't available—just slice thin and cook with care.
