- 1 cup 240g cooked, mashed sweet potato
- 2½ cups 300g whole wheat flour
- ¼ cup 60ml unsweetened applesauce
- 2 large eggs
- 2 –4 tbsp 30–60ml water, as needed
Mix Wet Ingredients
In a large bowl, I combine 1 cup mashed sweet potato, 2 eggs, and ¼ cup applesauce, stirring until smooth to form the base of these wholesome dog biscuits.
Form the Dough
I gradually add 2½ cups whole wheat flour, mixing until a dough forms. If too dry, I add 2–4 tbsp water, one tablespoon at a time, until workable for this nutritious pet treat.
Roll and Cut
On a lightly floured surface, I roll the dough to ¼-inch thickness. Using bone-shaped cookie cutters, I cut out shapes, re-rolling scraps as needed for these pup-friendly snacks.
